Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's since the 1500s at its layout:
- when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
- It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially.
- It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop.
What changes
Note the lack of the <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">, which disables the zooming aspect of sites in mobile devices. In addition, we reset our container's width and changed the navbar to prevent collapsing.
Regarding navbars
As a heads up, the navbar component is rather tricky here in that the styles for displaying it are rather specific and detailed. Overrides to ensure desktop styles display are not as performant or sleek as one would like. Just be aware there may be potential gotchas as you build on top of this example when using the navbar.
It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged:
- It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum.
- Passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus.
- PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
- It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable.
- Content of a page when looking at its layout.
There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form.
